Stupid Game 03:50
So much for flying I’ve been dying I’ve been waiting here I’ve been staying Away from saying What you need to hear This is not a rehearsal It’s a reversal Of everything you could never say Now you have to play this Stupid Game Last leave to leave the first to hide waiting on the weather This Stupid Game its hurts my pride Something that you treasure Why so bitter You confident quitter You used to be so cool & numb Now you fenced in House & Garden waiting for the end to come Oh the expectations No relation To what happen everyday Now you have to play this Stupid Game Yeah I’ll take my medicine You know the tricks you know how to win Yeah i’ll take my medicine Just show me how to live You got the magic You got the touch Do I come off as a little much You have the magic You have the feel Just go for the kill

Slippery moments jump at me like fish from a pond
They catch the sun for one second and slip back again Slippery words can fail you even as they line your nets You can only do your level best in a teacup tempest What have I lost What have I lost Know who to run from Nowhere to come from What have I lost Know who to run to Know who to run from What have I lost How did I end up in this room and what did I come for Used to laugh at my poor memory Not funny anymore Slippery moments slide away like fish down a stream I try to catch them and they slip away again What have I lost What have I lost Nowhere to run from Nowhere I come from What have I lost Know who to run toward Know who to run from What have I lost What have I lost What have I lost

I got a glimpse At twilight time Your losing touch It changed my mind The moon was cold The air was crisp A pact in blood You bit your lip Your helpful visions for an honest man I thought what I saw was real You visit me every night awake Unanswered thoughts revealed My speechless friends Heroic thoughts Such excellence I can’t turn it off Heart strings they swell A lonely wave My sorry youth For you to wade
4.
Here’s the how now tell me the why Born to die in between we laugh & cry If you’re awake you’ll soon be asleep Make it all matter leave your heart on your sleeve Tell me your reasons for then and the now Our futures receding as we take our last bow So light all your hopes in the flames of concern Live like you mean it & let your love burn My heart is full No regrets of if I should This love ain’t dead Like a thought left unsaid I know the thunder can bring troubled rain As that lucky old sun rolls in heaven all day Slowly our fortunes they turn & they change The dread & the darkness they quietly fade Powerful beauty in times of remorse It’s in the trees wild natures a force It’s true we can suffer and feel overrun But then there’s those feelings the warmth of the sun

Panic in San Francisco Chaos in Santa Fe Freaking in San Diego A crisis in sad LA Paranoia here in Boston Alarmed in Buffalo Crazy in Kansas City Horror in Ohio World’s on Edge It’s about to Blow World’s on Edge It’s About to Explode Whipped up in West Virginia Kicked in Kalamazoo Tasered in Tallahassee Beaten in Baton Rouge Rattled and riled in Richmond Choked out in Saint Paul Shaken in Salt Lake City Time to tear the whole thing down A heat wave in Atlanta Frozen in Syracuse Burning in Sacramento Are you looking for hidden clues Heartbreak in Nashville Distress in Aberdeen Tension in the Carolinas Florida bursting at the seams
6.
I am the lighting man From the second it all began A raging storm in the sky From the moment you said goodbye I’m white cedar & sage New beginnings and welcomed change Raw emotion inside From the moment that you arrived Set before your eyes Like the garden of Eden Grateful in a sense In our moments of weakness I’ll try to feel content Even though I know you’re leaving Frenzied dreams dispelled Without a thought or feeling Sweets to the sweet farewell I’m still mortal as far as I can tell I had a death dream last night The one were i’m buried alive Curious if it’s true Outside my body looking down at you Im somewhere else but still aware Like the scent of magic in the air
7.
You fall somewhere between a chore and a daydream You’re Funny like that You’re Funny Like me You fall somewhere between a chore and a daydream I’m taking the best of you and me So follow I’m taking the all of you and me So follow So we broke a promise made it haste There is no shame You can’t lose your mind that changes I’m taking the best of you and me So follow I’m taking the all of you and me So follow There is no place I wouldn’t go for you I’d follow The faults we face in time and space for you I follow Don’t get me wrong I can be strong I’ll take you all I’ll take you Our sins align lean into mine I’ll take you all

Let It Go 05:08
Time take time to recognize the ground you have come to stand upon light let light be part of the scene that you are making on your own get right with time before time takes away the very things you want to hold you want to hold you want told hold you want hold and then let go see the chains explode see the lines decode themselves while you watch them and the miracle is the way it flows the way the days go by themselves without you helping right before you raise your hand there is a stabbing pain in your chest is your heart conspiring against you now along with all the rest might make more show than it make sense but its a good show anyway what ever you have to do to get them just get them to look to look away and then let go see the chains explode see the lines decode themselves while you watch them and the miracle is the way it flows the way the days go all by themselves without you helping
9.
You would know how darkness gets around Go to sea once more waves and salt Ocean tramps this earthly beauty haunts Crashes over everything you want Oh these boundless moments My true weakness found Cruel stars light summer Flawed bodies falling down And I heard a voice It was an old despair It called out for help but no one was there Where was the last place you had a cry Arm crossed with half remembered eyes
10.
Open up that wooden box Oh look inside and see There’s something written with whale bone It was brought here from an elder & held in memory There’s an inscription “you’ll soon find home” There’s an envelope that holds your dear mother’s rosary For her benedictions to Mary But I don’t need a god to tell me what i’m supposed to be It’s just fiction beautiful poetry There’s a rolex watch you should have from your grand daddy His valediction he was set free From a life of clocking in and out at a factory Could have been a politician he was charming No I never I couldn’t ever It’s not me No I never I couldn’t ever Buy the Dream It’s a long way down From the top of the hill To recognize the patterns of nature It’s three o’clock in the morning The wind is wild and I am restless Soon you will find home Make up have peace Soon you will find home And maybe BELIEVE.
